FIELD: measurement technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to antenna measurement techniques, specifically to measurement of antenna directivity patterns (DP) using a collimating mirror. According to the proposed invention, to exclude the first and second order reflections penetration into the working zone of the chamber, the BEC has the shape of a rectangular trapezoid, the rear wall of which is located at an angle α: where α is the angle of rotation of the rear wall, d is the distance to rear wall 1, a is size of working area, which leads to the fact that BEC has asymmetry relative to focal axis of collimator mirror, at which condition is met:
where ; l is distance from collimator axis to sidewall 2.
EFFECT: technical result is to ensure exclusion of penetration into the BEC working zone of 1st and 2nd order reflections.
