SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of data protection, namely to monitoring and ensuring data integrity during their processing. Method of two-dimensional control and integrity of data consists in the fact that by comparing values of predetermined reference hash codes of the hash function from data units to be protected, with values of calculated hash codes of the hash function from verifiable data units, subblocks of which are generated according to rules similar to rules for constructing redundant modular codes, which enables to recover data in case of their integrity violation, i.e. ensure their integrity under conditions of both random errors and errors generated by intentional actions of intruder, to verify validity of data after recovery, hash values of the hash function are compared already from the restored data block with values of the pre-calculated hash code of the hash function from the initial data unit.

EFFECT: possibility of validating data after recovery in case of integrity violation.
