FIELD: computing technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to information technology and can be used to control and restore the integrity of data in storage systems in conditions of destructive impact of an intruder and the environment. The result herein is achieved by monitoring the integrity of data by comparing the values of the pre-calculated reference hash codes of the hash function from the data blocks subject to protection with the values of the calculated hash codes of the hash function from the data blocks being verified, sub-blocks whereof are formed according to rules similar to the rules for constructing redundant modular polynomial codes, allowing for restoration of data in the case of violation of integrity, i.e., ensuring the integrity thereof in conditions of both random errors and errors generated by deliberate actions of the intruder; in order to verify the accuracy and completeness of the data after restoration, the values of the hash codes of the hash function from a restored data block are compared with the values of the pre-calculated hash code of the hash function from the initial data block.
EFFECT: provided recovery of data with confirmed integrity, wherein a possibility to verify the accuracy and completeness of the data after restoration is provided.
