SUBSTANCE: invention relates to nicotine powder inhalers. Said nicotine powder inhaler comprises a housing extending between the mouthpiece region and the distal end portion; an air flow channel extending between the mouthpiece region and the distal end portion; a nicotine powder container configured to receive a capsule containing a dose of nicotine powder and located along the air flow channel; and a piercing member configured to pierce the capsule, wherein the piercing member comprises a needle, wherein the dose of nicotine powder can be inhaled into the lungs of a user with an inhalation capacity of less than about 5 l/min.

EFFECT: technical result of the invention is providing a nicotine powder inhaler which is capable of delivering nicotine powder to a user at inhalation efficiency or flow rate, which are close to or do not exceed inhalation performance or air flow rate in normal smoking mode, which by size and configuration is similar to a common cigarette and which is capable of providing a measured dose of nicotine and, if necessary, simultaneous delivery of the second active ingredient.
