FIELD: fire safety.
SUBSTANCE: fire-resistant wire is intended for use in designs of fire-resistant cables operable for a long time (up to 180 min) under direct flame action, including in fire alarm cables. Fire-resistant wire consists of a single-wire or multi-wire conductor with an extrusion layer of ceramic silicone rubber applied there around and having at least one fire-resistant thread inside. Threads can be superimposed with a spiral winding. In addition, fire-resistant wire can be wound with covering by glass tape or mica tape.
EFFECT: invention provides mechanical strength of composite material at direct action of flame due to application of fire-resistant insulation at optimum technology.
