FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy, particularly, to protective additive for molding mixes used in shaped molding of magnesium alloys into sand molds. Additive contains, wt%: hexamethylenetetramine borate 10–14, potassium tetrafluoroborate 8–12, sulfur 4–8 and urea is the rest.
EFFECT: improved physical and mechanical and operational characteristics of molding mixtures of foundry molds of magnesium casting.
