FIELD: manufacturing technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to foundry production and can be used for production of shaped castings, incl. large-size (more than 1,000 mm) in single sand molds from cold-hardening mixtures with synthetic binding agents (CHM). Anti-stick paint contains components in the following amount, wt%: ground sulfur 2–5; polyvinyl butyral 1–3; isopropyl alcohol 40–50; boric acid 1–5; fine graphite – balance.
EFFECT: creation of a new anti-stick paint for a mold made of CHM intended for production of castings from magnesium alloys, including zirconium and rare-earth elements, which prevents interaction of magnesium alloy with material of the mold by creation of gas insulating layer between metal and form and due to formation on the interface casting/form surface of chemically inert film.
