FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to orthopedic dentistry, and aims at detecting movements of the lower jaw by monitoring – articulation tracking. Disclosed is a method for digital tracking of articulation, involving setting a marker point on the lower jaw, video recording of movements of the lower jaw by monitoring the marker point, loading into the software and subsequent processing of the obtained files. Fitting a marker point, which is a wire bent clamp, having on the end sphere of light-curable composite material, is performed in the interdental space, and the marker point is monitored using a system of two interconnected cameras with resolution of 4K and a frame rate of 120 fps mounted on a tripod, wherein one camera detects a front view, and a second side view, after recording, obtained files are loaded into software designed for editing video and dynamic images, and frame-by-frame tracking of lower jaw movements is obtained.

EFFECT: invention provides significant cost reduction of the process of detecting movements of the lower jaw, while maintaining reliability and accuracy of the obtained data.
