FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to a method for tracking movement of a lower jaw and a device for its implementation. Method involves rigid fixation using bioinert adhesive of fiducial markers on lower and upper jaws and video recording of lower jaw movements by monitoring fiducial markers with at least one camera rigidly fixed on the support part of said device. Thereafter, the exact position of the jaws is calculated based on the position of the fiducial markers. Recording of movement of the lower jaw is carried out using a machine learning method, which allows using data obtained from fiducial markers installed on the skin of the lower jaw, determining the position of the lower jaw based on algorithms trained on the accumulated statistical data on the position of fiducial markers rigidly fixed on bone structures. Device for tracking the movement of the lower jaw comprises a supporting part in the form of an arc, as well as ear and nose supports for fixing the position of the chambers relative to the patient. At least one beam is installed on the support part, which is a graduated rail mechanism for attachment by means of a bracket of at least one chamber.

EFFECT: using this non-invasive method, enabling the lower jaw movement tracking in the "six degrees of freedom" system, accuracy when monitoring fiducial markers and video recording of the lower jaw movements, as well as the possibility of excluding the influence of the researcher on the investigated object.
