FIELD: agriculture.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to agriculture. Method of removing and moving humus layer during terracing of slope provides for uniform crumbling of humus layer of soil of untreated strip (1) of slope with slope from 8° up to 20°, adjoining from above on a slope to the prepared cloth of terrace (2) with width from 3 to 5 m, and simultaneous movement of cultivated soil down the slope to terrace cloth (2) by means of screw working member (3), axis of which is located across the slope. Movement of auger working element (3) is performed along upper edge of terrace cloth (4) towards untreated soil surface (5).
EFFECT: ensuring uniform transfer of humus layer from the surface of the slope onto the prepared terrace bed.
