FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of rolling. Rolling mill has at least one actuating element (16), made with possibility of activation for active damping of oscillations in rolling mill (2), and at least support roll (10) for supporting working roll (5) and/or intermediate roll of rolling mill (2). Possibility of optimum active damping of oscillations in rolling mill (2) at low structural costs is ensured by that support roll (10) is installed on each end by means of one support unit (11) on base box (8) of rolling mill (2), that support roll (10) rests on actuator (16) through at least one support assembly (11), wherein support roller (10) is adjustable by means of wedge unit (13) for controlling rolling line rolling mill (2), and actuator (16) indirectly through at least one structural element (14) of wedge plant (13) rests on section (17) of base box (8) or support roller (10) is uncontrolled, and actuator (16) directly rests on section (17) of base box (8).
EFFECT: rolling mill, a rolling plant and a method for active damping of oscillations in a rolling mill are proposed.
