ROLLING STAND Russian patent published in 1999 - IPC

FIELD: rolling equipment, namely in shops of cold and hot rolling for rolling ferrous and nonferrous metal and alloys, non-metallic materials. SUBSTANCE: rolling stand including rolls, roll drive units, magnetic circuits, electric current source has at least two-shaped electric magnets arranged symmetrically relative to rolling plane, having poles placed with possibility of embracing a part of surface of pressure roll under its diametrical plane at side of rolling roll or rolled strip and provided with mechanisms for moving them in plane parallel relative to rolling plane. Rolling stand also includes two permanent magnets arranged along contact contour in such a way that their similar poles are turned to each over. One permanent magnet is arranged close to pressure roll, another - close to stand housing. Both permanent magnets have exciting windings for magnetizing, demagnetizing, remagnetizing and neutralizing magnetic fields. Chocks and rolls are mounted with possibility of free motion in vertical plane. At least one permanent magnet is mounted with possibility of moving along barrel of pressure roll. EFFECT: enhanced structure, enlarged manufacturing possibilities of rolling stand, high quality of ready rolled pieces. 2 cl, 1 dwg
