SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a vehicle seat assembly and, in particular, to a vehicle seat unit having modular components, which are connected together so as to provide effective opening of the airbag device against side impact. Vehicle seat backrest assembly includes a rear seatback module formed by an outer housing having first and second sides, mounting components, a seat backrest bearing member having first and second side members, a detachable connection structure, a seatback frame and an airbag module. Elements of the first and second sides of the bearing element of the seat back are made with possibility of alignment with elements of the first and second side of the external housing during assembly. Locating elements are located on the bearing element of the seat back and include, in fact, flat mounting plates arranged with the possibility of alignment with the first and the second mounting ribs located on the external housing during assembly.
EFFECT: increased safety during operation.
