FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the problem of increasing pressure of compressible media based on centrifugal principles. Bladeless radial centrifugal compressor comprises a cylindrical housing with a braking chamber inside the cylindrical housing, rotor filled with porous medium of specified length, attached to external drive shaft, and having on its inner wall holes for fluid intake, and between shaft and rotor there is an axial channel for inlet of inlet fluid flow, in which located impeller fixed on shaft, at that, braking chamber, rotor and impeller make compressor stage. Compressor has at least one additional stage located on the shaft in the common housing; in the porous medium of the rotor on the side of its internal wall there are non-through perforation channels with diameter of up to 300 mcm.
EFFECT: use of the bladeless rotor allows to significantly increase efficiency of the device operation in the field of low flow rates with high values of the pressure increase coefficient.
