Method of correcting illumination of an object on an image in a series of images comprises inputting an image, obtaining a given light direction vector, detecting key points of an object and image features, cutting an image on key points of the object to obtain an image of the object, converting the image of the object into a format with a luminance and color difference components (YUV), creating an object illumination model using object key points to obtain a rasterized model of object illumination, forming an adapted illumination model of the object, extracting actual illumination of the object on the image, replacing the actual illumination of the object on the image with the adapted illumination of the object and outputting the image in the sequence of images.

EFFECT: high efficiency and quality of processing images in a sequence of images in real time.
