SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to a colour visual radiosensitive indicator reagent for detecting ionizing radiations, comprising a solvent, plasticiser – vegetable oil, halogen-containing sensibilizer – hexachloroethane, epoxidated vegetable oil, azo dye – benzoazo-1-amino-4-naphthalene and copolymer of vinyl chloride and vinyl acetate, at weight ratio of components vegetable oil : epoxidated vegetable oil : hexachloroethane : azo dye : copolymer of vinyl acetate and vinyl chloride : solvent equal to 0.15–4.0 : 0.1–3.0 : 10–25 : 0.5–3.0 : 10–35 : 75–130. Said indicator reagent is used as a radiosensitive layer base for making a colour visual radiosensitive indicator of ionizing radiations by applying a polyurethane-based paint based on a flexible or inflexible substrate, then applying a layer of indicator reagent (radiosensitive layer) on top of the white paint layer, drying it at 65–80 °C for 3–6 hours. After drying the indicator surface is coated with a protective film of transparent polymer material by lamination. In the indicators obtained according to the present technical solution weight ratio of components is – vegetable oil : epoxidised vegetable oil : hexachloroethane : azo dye : copolymer of vinyl acetate and vinyl chloride 0.15–4.0 : 0.1–3.0 : 10–25 : 0.5–3.0 : 10–35.

EFFECT: guaranteed difference of sterilized items from products that have not undergone treatment, storage of ready indicator reagent and obtained indicators without changes of their consumer properties for more than a year, possibility of visually approximately estimating dose of absorbed ionizing radiation within 1–15 kGy.
