FIELD: dosimetry.
SUBSTANCE: dose meter can be used for measuring absorbed doses of gamma- and electron radiation in radiation engineering and technology, namely, when inspecting process of radiation sterilization of medical appliances and food products to increase their service life. Ionizing radiation film chemical dose meter has radiation-sensitive layer composed of polymer binder, azo dye, plasticizer and halogen-containing sensitizer. Dose meter also has transparent substrate with adhesion sub-layer onto which one the radiation-sensitive layer is placed. As polymer binder the vinyl-chloride/vinyl-acetate copolymer or product of its partial saponification is used. As azo dye the n-diethyl amino azo benzene of (C2H5)2N-C6H4-N=N-C6H5 is used. Hexachloryne-ethane C2Cl6 (4) is used as halogen-containing sensitizer as well as of bromide alkenes or aryl alkenes compositions. Specific relation of components of thin radiation-sensitive layer is used. Method of making the film detector is also described.
EFFECT: improved sensitivity; higher stability, higher light resistance; better mechanical strength.
