FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a propylene composition for producing molded articles. Composition contains A) 60 to 75 wt% propylene homopolymer, having a polydispersity index (PI) of 4.3 to 4.9, a fraction insoluble in xylene at 25 °C, higher than 95 %, and melt flow rate (MFR) of 20 to 75 g/10 min, measured at 230 °C and load of 2.16 kg, and B) from 25 to 40 wt% propylene copolymer containing from 46.0 to 49.0 wt% links obtained from ethylene. Composition also has an intrinsic viscosity of the fraction soluble in xylene at 25 °C of 2.2 to 2.9 dl/g and ratio of 10.7+1.3xMFRa-17.7xPI-29.3xIV+4,9xXs (I) ranging from 40 to 66, where MFR is the melt flow rate of component A), PI is the polydispersity of component A), IV is the intrinsic viscosity of the fraction soluble in xylene at 25 °C, and Xs is a fraction soluble in xylene at 25 °C and is from 25.0 to 34.0 wt%.
EFFECT: obtained composition has an optimum set of properties, in particular improved impact viscosity at 0°.
