SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to medical equipment, specifically to skin treatment agents using non-thermal plasma. Device for skin treatment using non-thermal plasma comprises body having skin-interacting electrode for application on skin in process of treatment, a non-thermal plasma generator on the skin-interacting electrode, as well as an insulating member for isolating the region surrounding the skin-interacting electrode in a period of time different from the processing time, such that the non-thermal plasma generated on the skin-interacting electrode in said region sterilizes the skin-interacting electrode. Method for sterilization of skin-interacting electrode of device comprises stages, on which insulating element is placed relative to housing so that isolating element isolates area, surrounding the skin-interacting electrode, and activating the generator such that a non-thermal plasma is generated on the skin-interacting electrode in said region and sterilizing an electrode-interacting electrode.

EFFECT: use of inventions enables reducing bacterial contamination of the area of skin interaction.
