FIELD: handheld cutting tools.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to devices for shaving. Device for cutting hair comprises a body, a cutting assembly located at one end of the said body and comprising a cutting element, at least one electrode and a voltage source connected to at least one electrode. Voltage source is configured to provide at least one electrode with electrostatic charge. At the same time at least one electrode is designed with the possibility of attraction of charges naturally present in hair cut with a cutting unit, without active charging of cut off hair and attraction and/or retention of cut off hair from the cutting element. Hair cutting device also has a sensor which is configured to determine a condition relating to use of the device. Voltage source is activated or deactivated depending on said determined state.
EFFECT: technical result is preventing scattering of cut off hair beyond hair cutting device.
