FIELD: technological processes.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to reduction of sulfur content in crude naphtha. Method of reducing sulfur content in crude naphtha involves the following steps: initial naphtha is fed into a selective hydrogenation zone in the presence of hydrogen and a hydrogenation catalyst under selective hydrogenation conditions to produce a hydrogenated feedstock; hydrogenated feedstock is divided into at least two fractions, a light fraction and a heavy fraction; heavy fraction is introduced into a selective hydrodesulphurization zone in the presence of hydrogen and a hydrodesulphurization catalyst under selective hydrodesulphurization conditions to form a desulphurized stream which contains mercaptans; separating at least a portion of the desulphurized stream into at least two streams, a mercaptan-rich stream and a first mercaptan-poor stream having a boiling point in range of 100 to 220 °C; and treating at least a portion of the mercaptan-rich stream to remove at least a portion of the mercaptan compounds to form a second mercaptan-poor stream.

EFFECT: improved method of hydrodesulphurization of catalytic cracking gasoline in a fluidized bed with lower octane number reduction.
