FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, particularly to ophthalmology. For the transscleral suture fixation of the intraocular lens in the absence of adequate capsule support, pockets are formed in opposite meridians, the intraocular lens ab interno or ab externo is fixed, the fixing threads are withdrawn at the top of the pockets and the sutures are tied with a surgical knot. To form a keratoma pocket, notch 2 mm long is made along the limb. Then keratome is performed at level of middle layers of limb in direction of sclera, immersing it in opaque part of limb by 1.5 mm. After the intraocular lens is fixed and the fixing threads are removed from the eyeball, the threads are inserted intrasclerally towards the formed limbal pocket and brought out through it.

EFFECT: method provides stable and reliable IOL fixation, good visual control at the stage of surgical node formation, reduced invasiveness and traumatism, reduced postoperative complications.
