FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to ophthalmology and aims at correction of aniridia and acapsular aphakia by implantation of artificial iris-lens diaphragm (IRD). In the area of inverted corneoscleral tunnels preformed with a lancet, needles are put out consistently trans-sclerally. Filaments are covered with an end-ball hook in an intrascleral tunnel and delivered from cornea. Small knots are fastened and immersed in the same intrascleral tunnel.
EFFECT: ensured stable position and reliable fixation of iris-lens diaphragm with reduced timing of surgery and considerably reduced risk of hemorrhagic and inflammatory intra- and postoperative complications in patients with aniridia and aphakia.
