FIELD: technological processes; biochemistry.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to base organic synthesis, in particular to a method of producing methanol. Method consists in supply of synthesis gas with circulating gas for compression and contacting in reactor with copper-zinc catalyst at temperature of 220–290 °C, followed by cooling of methanol-containing gas leaving the reactor and separation of raw methanol in the separator. At that, compression at volume rate of 3,000–15,000 h-1 synthesis gas is fed with composition, vol%: hydrogen – 62.0–75.0; argon – 0.04–0.20; nitrogen – 0.07–3.0; methane – 0.8–4.0; carbon monoxide – 7.8–20.0; carbon dioxide – 3.7–11, obtained by steam-carbon dioxide conversion of natural gas in volume ratio methane: carbon dioxide = (3–50):1, contacting with catalyst is carried out at pressure of 2–12 MPa in reactor, divided into two isolated parts in ratio of 3:1 by number of sections, wherein the circulation gas is divided into two streams, and one of the two circulating gas streams is pre-mixed with the synthesis gas before entering the three-section catalyst reactor zone, and other flow of circulating gas is enriched with input of carbon dioxide to achieve volume ratio (5–50):(0.5–2) and is passed through built-in heat exchanger into second part of reactor with one catalyst section, followed by extraction of methanol from two processing lines.
EFFECT: disclosed method increases the methanol removal from the volume of the loaded catalyst and prolongs the service life of the catalyst system.
