CONFLICT OF LIGHTING PREFERENCES RESOLUTION Russian patent published in 2019 - IPC H05B37/02

Abstract RU 2698303 C2

FIELD: electricity.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to solving conflicts of lighting preferences in users in order to control light sources. To this end, a controller is proposed, comprising an output for controlling a light source(s) configured to emit light to illuminate a medium; and an input for receiving a signal output from at least one sensor. Controller is configured to identify presence of user and at least one additional user based on signal output from sensor; determining lighting preferences of users; detecting user orientation based on signal from sensor; estimating the user's field of view (FOV) based on the detected user orientation; determining that at least one light source is positioned to emit light in both user FOV, resolving conflict between user lighting preferences to determine light settings to be applied to at least one light source, and controlling said light source based on light settings, which are determined based on user lighting preferences and at least one additional user.

EFFECT: technical result is conflict resolution based on dynamically changing user orientation.
