FIELD: sports.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to sports equipment, in particular, to basketball equipment. For aiming during free throws in basketball, trajectories of ball (L) flight and its interaction with plane of shield (1) and rim of ring (3) are mathematically simulated. Using the geometrical model, in which the rim of ring (3) increases along the radius of the cross-section by the value of the ball radius and turns into a torus, and the ball accordingly by the same value decreases along the radius and turns into a material point, parameters of "flows" of possible and recommended trajectories (L) of flight of ball and corresponding parameters of "attacked" ("clean" and "expanded") targets in plane of ring (3) for no rebound and with rebound of ball from shield (1) are determined.
EFFECT: provides for individual selection of variety of execution of free throws without rebound or with rebound of ball from shield for increase of their effectiveness, as well as theoretical substantiation of modernization of basketball equipment in order to change rules of basketball.
