SUBSTANCE: visual indicator for use with control panels and methods associated therewith. Typical visual indicator described in this document comprises a base forming a light chamber and a first cover detachably connected to the base to protect the light chamber. Illumination assembly is located in the light chamber of the base. Lighting assembly comprises a first connector protruding from the base, the first connector being configured to pass through an access opening made on the outer surface of the control panel when the visual indicator is connected to the control panel. Base is engaged with the outer surface of the control panel when the visual indicator is connected to the control panel. Visual indicator is configured to provide a protection class of the control panel from external effects when at least one of the visual indicators is removed from the control panel or the first cover of the visual indicator is replaced with the second cover different from the first cover.
EFFECT: technical result is higher reliability of operation.
