SUBSTANCE: invention relates to marking of finished product containing container and cover for container. Device for marking a finished product containing a container and a detachable cover for a container, comprises one or more computer processors for generating a first code for the container and a second code for the cover, a marking unit configured to mark the container with a first code and the cover with a second code, wherein the first code and the second code are different but interconnected such that at least a portion of one of the first and second code can be derived from the other of the first code and second code, and wherein at least a portion of the first or second code is output by carrying out the cryptographic process on the other of the first or second code.
EFFECT: technical result is providing authenticity verification of finished products.
