FIELD: oil and gas industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the petroleum industry. Method of isolating gas inflows in production wells involves pumping into the well of an insulating compound obtained by dispersing a hydrophobic clay material in a homogeneous mixture of waste oil and fuel oil, taken at the following ratio of components, wt. %: hydrophobic clay material – 1.0–2.0, waste oil – 10.0–50.0, fuel oil – balance up to 100. Resulting insulating compound is forced into formation by forcing fluid. Well is subjected to process conditioning at rest for at least 12 hours. Well is started and its output is set to design mode of operation. Note here that pumping of insulating compound and displacement fluid is performed at pressure not higher than hydraulic fracturing pressure.
EFFECT: improving efficiency and manufacturability of gas insulation method at increased oil recovery coefficient.
