FIELD: oil and gas industry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to oil and gas industry and can be used for control of pipe lowering depth into well. Disclosed is a method of determining downhole depth of well equipment on pipes by monitoring movement of tack block of drilling mast relative to rotor table, in which the drilling mast is additionally equipped with ultrasonic radiator 1 installed on its top, ultrasonic radiator 2 installed at the level of the rotor table, and contactless receiver-transmitter 3 installed on traveling block 4. In the process of lowering and lifting operations, the time of path of pulses from ultrasonic emitters 1 and 2 to receiver-transmitter 3 is recorded and the current position of train block 4 is registered in real time mode.
EFFECT: high accuracy of determining drilling depth of drilling equipment regardless of drill winch parameters.
