FIELD: optics.

SUBSTANCE: optical system can be used as an image capturing device or a projection device. Optical system comprises a first optical element comprising a first reflecting section having a convex shape to an enlarging side, second optical element having a reducing side surface, having a convex shape to the increasing side, and a third optical element having an increasing side surface having a convex shape to the magnification side, and including a refracting section of positive optical power. Surface of the reducing side of the second optical element or the surface of the enlarging side of the third optical element includes the second reflecting section. Light from the magnification side propagates successively through the refracting section of the first optical element, the second reflecting section, the first reflecting section, the refracting sections of the second and third optical elements.

EFFECT: small size of the optical system with high image quality.
