FIELD: hand tools.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to structural forms of handles for hand tools used primarily by professional cooks as kitchen-cutlery, namely cook cleavers designed for shredding greens, cabbages and other vegetables, for meat cutting, fillet cutting and other applications. Cook cleaver consists of all-metal functional working part in the form of quadrangular plate with shank made as a whole with plate and handle. Upper part of the plate is made in form of a butt, and on the lower part of the plate there is a blade. Handle is rigidly fixed on the shank of the plate. On the surface of the handle, on the side of the blade, recesses are made, formed for convenient arrangement of fingers of the user's hand when gripping the handle. In its end part the handle is additionally equipped with a rear wrist rest, which is volumetric with a rounded top directed upwards relative to the longitudinal axis of the handle. Longitudinal axis of back support, passing through its top, is directed upwards relative to longitudinal axis of handle at angle from 135° up to 145° towards the end of handle. Transition from the handle surface to the backrest surface is smooth. In order to ensure the possibility of storing the universal cook cleaver in vertical position, the handle is directed downward, and the through hole is made in the plate.

EFFECT: universal cook cleaver is proposed.
