FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: automatic change in brightness of display device. Method includes steps of, at which, while a display device is at a first power output level, detecting a power saving event, continuing operation of the display device at a first power output level, at that, when trying to identify initiating event of power output level change, detecting initiating event of change of power output level consumed to brightness. In response to detecting an initiating event of change in power output level consumed by brightness, the method includes a step of changing the display power level of the display device to a second output level of power consumed by the brightness.
EFFECT: technical result consists in saving power by self-dimming brightness.
