SUBSTANCE: invention relates to aligning objects in a slide presentation. For this purpose, user input is detected, which identifies first presentation slide with first object displayed on it, and second presentation slide with second object displayed on it; displaying, as semi-transparent underlay, a first slide display; displaying, as an overlay, at least objects on a second slide on top of the underlay; detecting interaction of user with second object; and displaying alignment guides, based on user interaction, for second object on overlay; wherein the semi-transparent underlay is displayed under the second object on the second slide and over the background of the second slide.

EFFECT: technical result is easier alignment when displaying alignment guides.
