MAGNETIC SEPARATOR ON PERMANENT MAGNETS FOR WET ENRICHMENT OF WEAKLY MAGNETIC MATERIALS Russian patent published in 2019 - IPC B03C1/12

Abstract RU 2700135 C1

FIELD: technological processes.

SUBSTANCE: invention is intended for wet enrichment of weakly magnetic materials and can be widely used in mining-and-dressing, glass, food, light, chemical and other industries. Magnetic separator on permanent magnets for wet enrichment of weakly magnetic materials includes a housing with a bath, two magnetic systems in it with a gap and made of permanent magnets, the main and additional magnets. Main magnetic system is located in a drum driven by an electric motor with possibility of rotation relative to the drum axis, the device is also equipped with a loading box and unloading devices in the form of branch pipes for discharge of magnetic and non-magnetic pulp, as well as a pipeline for liquid supply. Loading box of the case is equipped with a pulp supply flow stabilizer, which helps to distribute the pulp uniformly over the entire working length of the separator. Housing of device is made in the form of box structure, equipped with two legs, with bottom in form of bath. Separator drum is located in central part of housing and equipped with drive shaft. Inside the non-magnetic body of the drum, there is a shaft of the main magnetic system made in the form of annular segments of permanent magnets equipped with pole tips installed in turn on the non-magnetic body of the drum of the separator. Main magnetic system is equipped with a unit for adjustment of its position inside the magnetic drum located on the shaft end of the main magnetic system. Housing of the device is equipped with a system of flushing nozzles located on the supply pipeline, and a sector concave-concave partition made under the separator drum and facing the bottom of the bath with its curved part. On the external surface of the partition wall, there is an additional magnetic system of permanent magnets. Device is equipped with working clearance adjustment unit between magnetic systems installed on both sides of main magnet system drive shaft end. Between the pole tips of the main magnetic system there are channels for passage of the separated liquid into the working gap of the pole tips. Between magnetic systems spacers are installed, which serve to reduce losses of liquid outside magnetic tips.

EFFECT: improved efficiency of wet enrichment process of weakly magnetic materials.
