HIGH-GRADIENT WET MAGNETIC SEPARATOR WITH SUPERCONDUCTING MAGNETIC SYSTEM Russian patent published in 2020 - IPC B03C1/25 B03C1/34

Abstract RU 2728038 C2

FIELD: drilling of soil or rocks; mining; chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: disclosed invention relates to devices for separation of materials by magnetic properties - magnetic separation, can be used in mining, chemical and other industries for enrichment of weakly magnetic ores and for deep cleaning of different materials from weakly magnetic inclusions. High-gradient wet magnetic separator comprises a working member in the form of a rotor with a vertical axis, magnetic system enveloping part of rotor, boxes arranged along outer diameter of rotor with matrices of ferromagnetic elements forming polygradient medium with high level of magnetic forces, feed unit of initial feed, unit of flushing and flushing water supply, assembly of collection and removal of separation products. Magnetic system is based on superconducting solenoids. External part of rotor, which is exposed to intense magnetic field, is made of non-conducting polymer material. Polygraphic ferromagnetic matrices of two types are placed in the rotor boxes, differing by the level of magnetic forces acting in them. Matrices of the first and second types alternate along rotor diameter. Supply of power to them is performed separately through the sectional supplying chute, and separation products are supplied to the sectional assembly of collection, which is made with possibility of separate production of magnetic and nonmagnetic products separated by matrices of both types. Polygradient matrixes are made in the form of a volumetric grid of ferromagnetic rods of different cross-section, mutual arrangement of which ensures diagonal closure of the main part of the magnetic flow passing through the matrix.

EFFECT: technical result is higher efficiency of separation process.
