FIELD: wireless communication.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to communication and can be used in wireless communication systems in which space-time coding techniques are used. Method for dynamic adaptation of characteristics of multi-antenna system (MAS) with multi-user (MU) transmissions ("MU-MAS") consists in the fact that it comprises stages, transmitting a training signal between each base station antenna and each of the plurality of wireless client devices analyzing each training signal for generating channel characteristic data; determining instant or statistical channel quality (link quality indicator) for wireless client devices using channel characteristic data; user subset and MU-MAS transmission mode are determined based on link quality indicator; calculating multiple weights of MU-MAS preliminary coder based on channel characteristic data; data are pre-coded with the help of MU-MAS preliminary coder weights for generation of pre-coded data signals for each base station antenna; and transmitting pre-coded data signals through each antenna of the base station to each corresponding client device in the selected subset.

EFFECT: technical result is compensation of frequency and time shift in a multi-antenna system.
