FIELD: physics.

SUBSTANCE: use: to determine the coefficient of resistance of a spherical particle when blowing gas from its surface. Summary of invention consists in the fact that measurement of particle resistance force when gas stream is exposed to it, wherein hollow spherical particle with porous shell arranged in uniform gas flow is suspended on cantilever made in form of thin tube with possibility of its rotation around horizontal axis located perpendicular to direction of blowing gas flow, compressed gas is forced into the inner cavity of the particle, the angle of rotation of the cantilever is measured from the initial vertical direction, the volume flow of gas fed into the cavity of the gas and the speed of the gas blowing flow, and dependence of resistance coefficient on volume flow rate of gas blown from particle surface is determined proceeding from specified ratio.

EFFECT: technical result is possibility of determining coefficient of resistance of spherical particle when blowing gas from its surface as measured in experiment parameters.
