SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a plasticised polyvinyl chloride (PVC) composition for extrusion of a foamed material. Composition is a dry mixture containing 30–60 wt. % polyvinyl chloride, 20–40 wt. % at least one plasticiser, 0.5–5 wt. % one or more primers and 0.1–3 wt. % chemical gas generating agent. Method of making an article from foamed plasticised PVC includes a stage of extrusion with foaming of a dry mixture of a plasticised PVC composition by means of an extrusion device with an extruder and a mouthpiece.
EFFECT: obtaining foamed materials, which are light-weight and require less consumption of materials, with properties comparable to corresponding articles from non-foamed material.
