SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a shaft furnace for roasting bulk material, for example limestone, and can be used in technology of sugar production as equipment for production of saturation gas and for production of lime in industry of construction materials, chemical and metallurgical industry. Mine furnace includes cylindrical lining shaft, loading and unloading devices, furnace gas suction box, gas pump connected by suction branch pipe to box of suction of furnace gases, and discharge branch pipe is connected with collector of furnace gases, fan for air supply to furnace. Furnace also has a control unit electrically connected to controlled valves, temperature, flow and rarefaction sensors. On the pipeline connecting furnace gas box and gas pump suction branch pipe there is a regulating element for change of rarefaction in the furnace gas suction box and in the furnace upper part with frequency from 5 to 15 oscillations per minute and amplitude from 20 to 40 Pa.

EFFECT: invention provides intensification of gas exchange between main gas flows – furnace gases in zones of roasting bulk material and gases in bulk material pores and in closed volumes between pieces of bulk material in furnace.
