FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to annealing of minerals. Proposed method comprises the feed of rock to be roasted into vertical shaft from top to bottom and feed of gases to make heat exchange zones along rock displacement, i.e. heating zone, counterflow calcination zone, in-line calcination zone and cooling zone. Cooling air is fed to shaft bottom. Gases are bled for rarefaction for upward cooling air flow at interface between cooling and in-line calcination zones. Cooling air ejected at gas bleeding from the shaft and mixed with fuel combustion products and roasted rock decomposition is fed to fuel feed level at interface between in-line and counterflow calcination zones. Fuel combustion products are divided into portion moving downward along calcination in-line zone to gas bleed zone and portion moving along counterflow zone and heating zone. Circulation factor equal to coolant flow rate-to-bled gas flow rate makes over 1.05.
EFFECT: higher yield of commercial product and degree of calcination product dissociation.
