FIELD: chemistry; physics.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to monitoring of alkalinity change of lubricant circulating in ship equipment. Plant for control of change of alkali of lubricant contains at least one channel for circulation of lubricant, which is connected upstream with equipment and downstream with strut tank, as well as - one sensor for determination of alkalinity of lubricant. Plant additionally contains the first controlled valve for interruption of lubricant circulation in the above channel, buffer reservoir for accumulation of lubricant, the first bypass line connected to the channel upstream of the first valve on one side and with the buffer reservoir on the other side. Plant also comprises a second controlled valve for interruption of lubricant circulation in the first bypass line, a second line for unloading lubricant from the buffer tank into the reservoir tank and a third controlled valve to interrupt lubricant circulation in the second discharge line. Sensor for determining the alkalinity of the lubricant is located in the second discharge line and enables to determine an alkalinity index of the lubricant at the outlet of the buffer tank. Also disclosed are an automated method for determining alkalinity of a lubricant circulating in equipment, and a method of monitoring equipment on-board.
EFFECT: achieving simplification, as well as improving accuracy and reliability of controlling alkalinity of lubricant.
