FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a marine engine lubricant composition comprising: at least one base lubricating oil; at least one fatty amine of formula (I) with radical values given in the description and claim, where the fatty amine with an alkali number BN, determined in accordance with ASTM D-2896 standard, ranges from 150 to 350 milligrams of potassium hydroxide per gram of amine, and at least one additive selected from overbase detergents and/or neutral detergents. Invention also relates to use of the lubricant composition as a lubricant for cylinders in a single-cylinder engine, which can be used with oil fuel with sulphur content of less than 1 wt. %, and to reduce formation of deposits on heating parts of the marine engine. R1R2N-(CH2)3-[NH(CH2)3]n-NH2 (I).
EFFECT: present invention also discloses the use of a fatty amine in a lubricant composition to reduce formation of deposits on heating parts of a marine engine, wherein the fatty amine is a fatty amine of formula (I).
