FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to surgery, and can be used for endoscopic treatment of esophageal diverticulum. Submucosal space is located 1–3 cm proximal to the level of the cryopharyngeal muscle at the level of the piriform sine along the lateral wall of the esophagus. Submucosal layer is coloured. Mucous membrane is incised with a length of up to 10–15 mm. From the incision mucosa area by dissection in the submucosal layer, a tunnel is formed to a level of a cryopharyngeal muscle with formation of a septum between a cavity of diverticulum and a true esophagus lumen. Thereafter, the tunnel is formed in two directions – detached from muscular septum mucous diverticulum, on one side, and oesophageal mucosa – on the other, prolonging oesophageal part at 2–3 cm distal to level of diverticulum bottom. It is followed with complete recovery of cryopharyngeal muscle with its dissection throughout its extent to the level of transition into oesophageal muscular fibers.
EFFECT: method enables reducing injuries.
