FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to engine building, particularly to engines with active chamber, comprising at least one piston 2, which is installed with possibility of sliding in cylinder 1 and operating in compliance with three-phase thermodynamic cycle containing isobaric and isothermal transfer, phase of polytrope expansion with performance of work and exhaust, which is preferably equipped with compressed air contained in tank 12 of high pressure storage. Volume of cylinder 1, which is traversed by piston 2, is divided into active chamber CA and expansion CD chamber. Compressed air is used to move inlet valve 9 to open and then close intake channel, providing possibility of supplying active engine chamber.
EFFECT: compressed air used for said actions is used again in engine for additional work.
