FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine and can be used in treating patients with multiple sclerosis, as well as in therapy of other demyelinating diseases of the nervous system. Disclosed is a method of treating multiple sclerosis, wherein the treating substance used is apitoxin, wherein the exposure is carried out by means of bee stinging or sting, previously extracted from the bee, on biologically active points. Bee stinging areas are divided into constants, including the head and vertebral column affected daily during the course of treatment, and non-permanent, exposure on which is carried out 2–3 days later during the course of treatment, 50–70 % of total number of bees per session is put on stressed muscles, daily number of bees varies from 3 to 30. During treatment, the number of bee stinging is increased by 1-2 bees per session in the primary patient and by 3-4 bees per session in the patients, previous courses of apitherapy with anamnestic good tolerance of bee venom or patients with large body weight, duration of sting of bee sting in patient's skin is from 3 to 20 minutes.

EFFECT: according to MRI – reduced number of active centers of demyelination, reduced points of invalidisation by EDSS scale.
