FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: when monitoring a surface or air environment with a scanning antenna, the antenna is successively moved on the azimuth and angle of elevation by the value of a discretisation element line-by-line in the scanned area. The amplitude of the received signal is measured in spatial coordinates on each position of the antenna. The discrete Fourier transformation is calculated for the set of amplitude values and then processed using a reconstruction filter. One-dimensional discrete Fourier transformation is used in form of a two-step procedure: first, the image is processed with a one-dimensional reconstruction filter along rows of the radar image and then along columns.
EFFECT: fast reconstruction of radar images owing to performance of reconstruction operations in form of a two-step procedure, taking into account the property of division of characteristics of the antenna directional pattern on variables.
