FIELD: smoking accessories.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to aerosol delivery devices, such as smoking articles, which can use electrically produced heat to produce aerosol (for example, smoking articles, usually called electronic cigarettes), and, in particular, to a system and a method for safe repeated filling of aerosol delivery devices with an aerosol precursor composition. Aerosol delivery device comprises a housing forming a reservoir configured to be refilled for storage of the aerosol precursor composition; a heating element disposed within the housing and configured to activate and vaporize components of the aerosol precursor composition while passing the air flow through at least a portion of the housing, wherein the air is suitable for mixing with the thus formed vapor for producing an aerosol; and an adapter connected to the housing and configured to detachably seal the container for re-filling the reservoir with the aerosol precursor composition, wherein the adapter is configured to interact with the container valve during refilling of the reservoir and comprises a body forming separate and different refuelling and air channels, wherein the refilling channel is configured to move the aerosol precursor composition from the container into the container during the adapter and valve interaction, wherein air channel is closed by valve to prevent passage of aerosol precursor composition through air channel, and air channel is made for air flow passage through at least part of housing, when adapter and valve are withdrawn from interaction.

EFFECT: technical result is improvement of aerosol delivery device.
