FIELD: transportation.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to a method of determining a blind area for a vehicle and to a vehicle. Vehicle comprises body, engine, brakes, coupler, sensor connection processor configured to detect hooked trailer. In response to trailer detection, lengths of coupling device, trailer, buffer zone and vehicle are summed up separately. Object positions are identified based on sensor signals. First response is started when the positions are within the summed zone. Besides, only user adjustment of the buffer zone length above the preset standard length is permitted.

EFFECT: more accurate determination of the blind area of a vehicle with a trailer.
