SUBSTANCE: invention relates to vehicle safety devices. Vehicle comprises a passive door unlocking system, at least one antenna within the vehicle and a controller. Passive door unlocking system is configured to unlock the vehicle upon authenticating a fob in the vicinity of the vehicle. Controller has at least one antenna and is configured to cause simultaneously with the listening period to authenticate the fob of the passive door unlocking system, the antenna transmit a query at a frequency of less than 150 kHz, receive a response to the query from a tag at frequencies of 200 MHz and identify the object associated with the tag in the vehicle, based on the tag response.
